The Watur Community brings together guests and international volunteers from different countries who believe that sharing their experiences can make every journey easier, safer, and more meaningful.
They all share one purpose: helping future travelers discover Peru with greater confidence before beginning their journey.
Our Community Members are not travel agents or sales representatives. They simply share friendly advice and recommendations based on their own experiences and their genuine desire to help others.
Who can be part of the Watur Community?
To become a Community Member, you must first have experienced Watur, share our philosophy and values, and have a genuine desire to be part of the Watur Community.
Members are people who have connected with Watur through their experience and want to stay connected, share their experiences, and help others discover Peru.
How can we help you?
The Watur Community is here to help you prepare for your trip to Peru with greater confidence.
Our members can share their personal experiences, answer questions, and offer recommendations about destinations, culture, transportation, and other aspects of traveling in Peru.
All support is based on real experiences and is offered voluntarily, with the goal of making travel in Peru easier and more rewarding.
How does the Watur Community work?
If you would like to contact a Community Member, you can send them a message through our platform.
Community Members participate entirely on a voluntary basis and reply whenever their time and availability allow. Our goal is to encourage friendly conversations between travelers, where personal experiences help others prepare for their journey to Peru.
The Watur Community does not provide professional travel advice or sales services. Its purpose is to share real experiences and build a community based on trust, respect, and collaboration.

About Steven
Steven is an American traveler, writer, and former professional athlete who brings more than 11 years of travel experience, including six years of international exploration. His journeys have taken him from the Maasai Mara in Kenya to the Ecuadorian Amazon, and have given him a deep appreciation for discovering places through people, culture, and meaningful experiences.
After spending many years living part-time in Costa Rica and developing a strong connection with Peru, Steven has learned that the richest travel experiences often come from stepping beyond the typical tourist path and connecting with the people and places that make each destination unique.
As Watur Ambassador in the United States, he is here to share his experience, offer guidance, and help fellow travelers discover Peru with greater confidence and a more personal perspective.
